.SH NAME
to-lzma \- converts .Z, .lzo, .zip, .rar, .gz, and .bz2 files to zst format
.SH SYNOPSIS
\fBto-zst\fR
[\fB\-(IPv)4\fR]
[\fB\-(IPv)6\fR]
[\fB\-d(elete_original)\fR]
[\fB\-h(elp)\fR]
[\fB\-k(eep_smallest)\fR]
[\fB\-m(ax_compress)\fR]
[\fB\-n(o_overwrite)\fR]
[\fB\-p\fR\~\fInum_cores\fR]
[\fB\-t(imestamp_retain)\fR]
\fIfile/URL\|.\|.\|.\fR
.SH DESCRIPTION
\fBto-zst\fR recompresses files compressed with the \fBcompress\fR, \fBlzop\fR,
\fBzip\fR, \fBgzip\fR, and/or \fBbzip2\fR utilities into \fIzst\fR format. The
newly compressed files will usually have a \fI.zst\fR extension. If a
specified file is actually a URL, it will be downloaded using \fBwget\fR and
then recompressed.
.SH OPTIONS
.TP
\fB\-4\fR
Prefer IPv4 when downloading a URL.
.TP
.B -6
\fB\-6\fR
Prefer IPv6 when downloading a URL.
.TP
\fB\-d\fR
After each file is compressed, delete the original.
.TP
\fB\-h\fR
Print help and quit.
.TP
\fB\-k\fR
Once a file is successfully recompressed, delete the larger of the original
file or the new one. This option maximizes disk space savings and is
incompatible with the \fB\-d\fR option.
.TP
\fB\-m\fR
Compress more, but at the expense of increased CPU time and memory usage.
.TP
\fB\-n\fR
Do not overwrite the target \fI.zst\fR file if it already exists.
.TP
\fB\-p\fR\~\fInum_cores\fR
Use the multi-threaded \fB-T\fR option of \fBzst\fR to utilize multiple cores
during compression. Note that the output file, while being fully compatible
with unthreaded \fBzst\fR, will generally be slightly larger. Specifying a
\fInum_cores\fR value of zero will utilize all available cores.
.TP
\fB\-t\fR
Make the timestamp of new files match those of the old files.
