LightZone Documentation

Some Fossies usage hints in advance:

  1. To see the Doxygen generated documentation please click on one of the items in the steelblue colored "quick index" bar above or use the side panel at the left which displays a hierarchical tree-like index structure and is adjustable in width.
  2. If you want to search for something by keyword rather than browse for it you can use the client side search facility (using Javascript and DHTML) that provides live searching, i.e. the search results are presented and adapted as you type in the Search input field at the top right.
  3. Doxygen doesn't incorporate all member files but just a definable subset (basically the main project source code files that are written in a supported language). So to search and browse all member files you may visit the Fossies LightZone-4.2.5.tar.gz contents page and use the Fossies standard member browsing features (also with source code highlighting and additionally with optional code folding).

LightZone

Build status

LightZone (www.lightzoneproject.org) is a professional-level digital darkroom and photo editor for Mac, Windows, and Linux. It includes RAW processing and editing. Rather than using layers in the way that other photo editors do, LightZone lets the user build up a stack of tools which can be rearranged, readjusted, turned off and on, and removed from the stack. It's a completely non-destructive editor, where any of the tools can be re-adjusted or modified later — even in a different editing session. A tool stack can even be copied to a batch of photos at one time. LightZone always operates in a 16-bit linear color space with the wide gamut of ProPhoto RGB.

Feature List

LightZone has advanced features including:

  • Ability to read RAW files for a variety of cameras and display the metadata (e.g. exposure, ISO, flash, etc.)
  • Rating of images for one to five stars
  • Batch processing of files
  • Range of available style filters (e.g. Alien Infrared, Skin Glow, Polarizer, etc.)
  • Non-destructive tools including relight, sharpen, gaussian blur, hue/saturation, color balance, white balance, black & white, noise reduction, clone, spot, red eyes
  • Editing modes include crop, rotation, and region
  • Raw tone curve modification

Installing
