This CMU SNMP software was FTPed from FTP.NET.CMU.EDU on Nov 06, 1999

	LIB  = cmu-snmp-V1.14.tar.gz
	APPS = cmu-snmpapps-V1.4.tar.gz

The latest mib-v2.txt was FTPed from the CMU site and snmp/mib-v2.txt
was deleted. THE other/hpnp.mib SECTION OF THE FILE WAS CAUSING PROBLEMS
WITH QUERIES FOR mib-2.system.xx SO IT HAS BEEN COMMENTED OUT.

NOTES
------
1. Looks for include files in 'snmp' subdir. So hard to compile the
   apps without a full install.

2. Build the library by

	cd snmp
	./configure --prefix=`pwd`/.. --with-gnu-ld --disable-shared
	make all
	make install

3. The compile the snmpapps by:

	./configure --prefix=`pwd`/.. --with-gnu-ld --disable-shared \
	  --with-snmp=`pwd`/..
	make

4. Patched snmp/new-parse.c  (typecast strdup to char *)

5. Patched snmp/Makefile.in to set MIBDIR=$MIBDIR and not MIBDIR=$ETCDIR
